Before the Hi-Pro boom of the mid 90’s, some of the most inspirational surfing and surfboard design for me was luckily at my fingertips. My Mom was a designer for Hoffman Fabrics and because of that I was plugged into the magic of the mid to late 80’s longboard cult. Fletcher, Dobson, Paskowitz… Lots of these boards were literal blown up 80’s shortboards with flatter decks, fuller rails, and shorter lengths. Wild and progressive hotdogging was the vibe. These designs went away as fast as they arrived, and I have always wanted to bring them back. Just pure fun.
